Postcards from a better day: part 4
I'd forgotten that I'd taken the photo of the builder outside the Tate. There is a lot of building work going on around there. The gallery is being extended and there are also some very, very, very expensive apartment blocks going up too. I often encounter amused/bemused builders when I'm out and about with my camera. In this instance, I was photographing some wooden hoardings, trying to create some sort of abstract, when some builders came along, entertained by my taking photographs of 'nothing'. I didn't actually remember taking this guy's portrait at all so it was a bit of a surprise to discover it in my collection. I do remember being 'in the zone' that day though. When I entered the Tate I quickly snapped this guy texting on his phone as strolled by. I remember taking this one, but not the previous one. Oh well.
