Showing up at the shutter button

Today was uninspiring. At home in the gloom. I put my macro lens on my camera and realised that the light levels were way too low to achieve the wonderful ideas that were decorating my imagination. I wanted handheld and informal but it wasn't going to happen. Somehow I ended up with this shot of the kitchen lampshade before deciding to take the macro off the camera in the realisation that it wasn't going to yield the results I wanted. Or maybe it was a mood thing. Or a combination of both. But as Julia Cameron says, you've got to show up at the page—in writer's parlance—so that's what I did.

Thanks, Cusp. Showing up is the name of the game. Now that I've taken on a more formal course of study, I can't rely on random hits or waiting for inspiration.
