Upon reflection, I don't feel any sense of loss or regret by not being able to do the photojournalism course. Instead of stressing over the good enough/well enough/well enough to produce work that is good enough trichotomy, and having to research the great photojournalists and documentary photographers of past and present, I'm free to do my own thing at my own pace. The one thing I miss is being around other photographers and being exposed to new ideas and so on but there's a lot of inspiration online, and in galleries and bookshops and even just out there on the street. History is unfolding on my doorstep.
